Time & Tide is a sculptural vessel shaped by an imagined journey through the ocean - as though once lost at sea and later returned to shore, transformed by time, tide, and salt. Its surface bears the quiet evidence of elemental wear, sculpted and painted to evoke erosion, encrustation, and the soft patina that forms when objects are surrendered to the natural world.

Lovingly hand-built from up-cycled paper pulp clay and finished by hand, the piece carries a sense of slow change and endurance. Its softened edges and layered textures suggest a history beyond the studio, a form made unfamiliar, almost unrecognisable, yet holding a new and unexpected beauty born from decay and renewal.

Tide & Time reflects on impermanence and transformation and how the ocean reshapes what it touches, not by force, but by persistence. It stands as a quiet meditation on time and the beauty of transformation.
